He collects books, particulary those dealing in mythology, mysticism and magic ...Bakit nga ba "tikbalang"? Sa mga curious sa aking "nom de plume". Nuong bata pa ako ay mahilig ako sa mga myths ng “tricksters” at “sacred clowns”. Sila Odin, Elegua, atbp., mga mapag-biro, yet the same time ay mga manlilikhang deus. Sa local na alamat, ang “tikbalang” ay maituturing na isang halimbawa ng “trickster spirit”. Later on, nuong inuumpisahan ko na ang yahoo group na Anting-anting, gusto ko sanang gamitin ang katagang “I tego arcana dei” (“Begone! I hold the secrets of gods”), which is an anagram for Poussin’s enigmatic “Et in Arcadia ego”. I then thought that this would be a very apt thing for a “dweller on the threshold” to say. At nuong iniisip ko na yung “dweller on the treshold", ang tikbalang ang sumagi sa isipan ko. Isang espiritung nakakatakot ngunit kailangan muna nating magapi kung gusto nating mapasok ang "sanctum sanctorum" ...Suum cuique.
